I am very happy to be among the finalists of Emergentes 2019 – International Photography Award Encontros da Imagem with my work from Guardas da Miramar which I worked on last year in the angolan capital Luanda.
The Premio Emergentes ist part of the Festival Encontros da Imagem in Braga/Portugal and aims to award the best Portfolio in Contemporary Photography,
The prize is organized by Encontros da Imagem - International Photography and Visual Arts Festival that celebrates this year it’s 29th edition. The photography award was given through a Portfolio Review that offers photographers the opportunity to present their works to curators, galleries, festival and museum directors and specialized publishers, promoting their work this way. The award consists in a 5.000€ (five thousand euros) award and a solo exhibition for the winner in the next edition of the festival 2020. The other nine finalists will be part of a collective exhibition in the next edition of the festival in 2020.
